Il tempio di Santa Maria della Consolazione è una chiesa a pianta centrale che si trova all’esterno delle mura duecentesche di Todi. Opera architettonica di importanza internazionale, è considerato uno degli edifici-simbolo dell’architettura rinascimentale. La sua costruzione cominciò nel 1508 per concludersi dopo cent’anni.

The church of Santa Maria of the Consolation is a centrally planned church that is outside of the thirteenth-century walls of Todi. Architectural work of international importance, is considered one of the buildings-a symbol of Renaissance architecture. Its construction began in 1508 and ended after a hundred years.

La iglesia de Santa María de la Consolación es una iglesia de planta centralizada que se encuentra fuera de las murallas del siglo XIII de Todi. Obra arquitectónica de importancia internacional, es considerado uno de los edificios-símbolo de la arquitectura renacentista. Su construcción se inició en 1508 y terminó después de cien años.
